Objectives

To increase health facility utilization rate by 60%.
To increase the number of births by Skilled Birth Attendant (SBA) utilization in Oyo state by 30%.
To promote early initiation of breastfeeding and Exclusive Breast Feeding (EBF).
To improve advocacy at the community level for health promotion, and education activities of high impact interventions (including exclusive breastfeeding, immunization, antenatal care, postnatal care, etc.).
To routinely train health care providers in the state on emergency obstetric care and essential newborn care.
To set-up newborn corners in one Primary Health Care center per ward.
To strengthen Special Care Baby Units in targeted secondary healthcare facilities
